Axium has been developing robotic fuel tank assembly solutions to reduce production costs in manufacturing plants since 1989. We put our best robotic fuel tank assembly expertise to the benefit of your company.

AXIUM's fuel tank flowlines can be easily modified to meet process or speed requirement changes. Since the robot and the conveyor are on the same structural platform, the customer start-up delay will be minimized. As an example, It takes only three days for an 8 skid configuration to install. In five days, tanks are running on the conveyor in process debug mode. Best of all, multiple tank styles can be supported on the same downline.

Metal Clip Insertion Tool

- Vibrating bowl feed.
- Inserts the clip and makes the pull test accordingly to the customer specs.
 

New Smart Spin Welder

- New compact design with tool changer and dust cleaning system.
- Up to 8000 rpm, with pressure control.
- Designed to stop the spinning at a precise angle to accommodate clip orientation.

Vertical & Horizontal FSU Cutter (Fuel Sending Unit)

- Self centering unit that locates itself over the encapsulated ring on the vertical position using pneumatic muscle.
- Locking system to avoid any motion while cutting.
- Can accommodate any size of FSU using shim for fine adjustment of 10mm.
- 100% secure slug removing.
- Quick change unit to support different hole size with a single robot.
 

Servo Conveyor

- Servo driven actuator for accurate and fast positioning
- Two fast acting locking arms to properly lock the fixture in place
- Pneumatical clutch to minimize impact on possible collision
- Modular structure to meet different length requirements
- Return of the fixture on conventional chain conveyor
